Oh, SO fucking WORD.
They talk about how Muggles ignore magic, but when they (Muggles) DO see it, the (wizards) erase their memory. Maybe ignoring it has developed as a defense mechanism against getting BRAIN RAPED. Yes, I know, evolution doesn't work that way. Still it's a kind of "damned if you do, damned if you don't" thing that's always bugged me. And the fact that the only Muggles we see much of are bastards doesn't help. We couldn't we see more of hermione's parents, they seemed nice?

I could write essays about the mistreatment of non-magic users in HP (Starting with the slang used for them)
Even Hermoine starts acting like there's nothing of value to be found outside the Magic culture (I understand the plight of the House Elves, even if it's played for laughs... but if she wanted to start a fucking movement, why didn't she start complaining about the mistreatment of muggles?) and treats her parents like embarrasments when they're around magic people.
