165. I honestly think the cons are kind of... creepy. Especially when people pay to get their pictures taken with them and display them proudly as icons and such :/

172. People just get too uppity about what makes a good or bad fan when there is no such thing. Everyone should have the right to like or dislike things and be polite about it. But there's always too much clusterfuck because people flip the fuck out. But honestly, the whole "it's cool to hate on Supernatural" thing is just instigating it all.

About a week ago JA's ppl may have sent a C&D letter to the runners of a website that was planning to start handing out fliers and stickers saying that JA was functionally illiterate, and some other crap they made up because it was 'funny' and they were 'such huge fans'. So they started claiming that JA was taking legal action against them and maybe suing them and trying to rally the fandom around them since obviously him not wanting a campaign like that happening meant he was going to go after the slashers next, or some such nonsense. Then they spent a few days wanking about how JA had betrayed them and that he has no sense of humor, and being butthurt because the rest of fandom was pretty much like 'good riddance'.

Actually that's not what the fliers were about, that's for spreading misinformation. The functional illiteracy thing never made it past a few vids we made and posts within the community. What the fliers were going to say was that more people need to tune into Supernatural and go see his upcoming movie My Bloody Valentine because he's an amazing actor and they're missing out.

We've let it die, why can't everyone else?

Honestly, I'm even part of the fandom and it's people and stunts like this that makes people embarrassed to be part of the fandom. And by shoving Supernatural down people's throats it becomes exactly what people hate about it.

Just... don't.

I just don't understand why anyone would find it funny to even make up stuff like this about him.

On a personal level I would be pissed off if I knew people were saying things like this about me and making websites and communities about it. Even if it is all in good fun it's cruel.

Yeeeeeep, I didn't even think of looking out for Breaking Dawn secrets (I'm like 1/3's of the way through) and that totally spoiled it for me. Good thing I'm not a rabid fan, but... BLAH.
