I honestly don't care about the whole thing - I just happened to appreciate the OP's honest comments, and said "I love you". Why I keep replying to you, even though I have the vague sense that you're cracking the hell up over there at me, is because I didn't expect that I'd get "attacked" over this crazy bit of nothing (no, I do not have the butthurt, lol, but that's how all of our wank begins - overreactions over little nothings).

But then I went through the first three pages of comments, and it seems like anyone who agrees with the OP of #127 are getting randomly attacked by what I can only assume are ex-members of that site. I say assume, because I've got no idea who these people are, but I think it's a bit...over the top. I thought it was all hilarious in the beginning, and I'm friends with people who were active in that community, and I still adore them and appreciate their sense of humor. I'm a total asshole at times, so who am I to actively and publicly judge those people?

But I do appreciate the OP's "secret", and thought she/he could use the love, because I figured everyone was going to flip shit on her/him.

I was being entirely genuine when I said I think you're awesome. The fact you're replying to me with actual responses and not just "lame anon, gtfo my face" is freakin' amazing to me. Usually anon comments either get ignored or receive some kind of hostile backlash by other anons.

I honestly don't know who's saying what on those other pages...meaning I don't know who they are. I don't entirely agree with anyone on this but that's the beauty of being an individual, I can have my own opinion and you can have yours. Thank YOU for not being a complete douche like some self-righteous fen.

I can appreciate wanting to let the OP know that not everyone in fandom is batshit and won't jump all over them for having a differing view on the matter. The only thing I DO disagree with is passing judgment when you don't have all the facts, and I mean that for any situation, not just the most recent wank in SPN fandom.

I'm less of a cunt (or douche, that's a good one, too) than I used to be, lol, that's about it, but I'm just happy to have a potential bitchfest turn into a decent conversation. (And I used to flip out about people posting anonymously, but...that's another thing I don't care about anymore. There are people who know well enough to DO that to save their "online reputation" - and if I had known last year what I know now, I'd have done a lot of anonymous posting myself. It's too late for me, save yourself, LMAO.)

I don't think anyone has any of the facts regarding all that Jensen/Petja nonsense other than the girl who ran the website/community/whatever, so I agree with you. I think the wank got spread because suddenly everyone knew what was going on (without even knowing who was involved) and spread very specific (and wrong) information. It felt like everyone was playing "telephone" - while stoned out of their gourds. After that first day, I completely forgot about, until I saw the secret here (I don't know if there've been other secrets about it in the last week, I'm behind on F!S, sadly), so I figured it all died away.

I guess not - I guess people are still really upset over the whole thing, but I've seen no bitching on my f-list.

But I like Cuban sammiches. I don't want the Cuban faction to think I was an abortion that never happened. I won't be able to enjoy my tasty snacks with the same fervor...and that's sad. Can't it be the Mexicans? I don't like spicy food.

The only reason I'm commenting anonymously is because I enjoy having a small flist and knowing who reads my LJ. I don't really have 'reputation', so to speak, but I'd rather not become known as "that crazy girl that tried to be nice but ended up being Cunty McTwatwaffle anyway".

I believe you've hit the nail square on the head. I don't know if there have been other secrets but I know there have been a fair amount of very public posts regarding the matter by people who weren't in the comm, don't know what was discussed, and the only 'information' they do have is what they've read on the F_W entry (which, good Lord that's full of BS). I know there were posts about is as recent as yesterday and I know they painting former PETJA members as being discriminatory jerks who get their kicks by mocking people with disabilities and/or disorders, which hello, I was a member and I know that's NOT what went on. We're mostly upset that we're being called something that we're not and that people who have no inside knowledge or clue are passing judgment on us like we're the scum of fandom.
To them I say,
-"let he who is without sin, cast the first stone." We're all guilty of something here, don't try and act high and mighty like you've never said something that you know someone could take offense to, whether you were joking or not.-
