Agreed, though the most fun I had raiding was part of an all-female guild. The type of Mailbox Dancer you're describing never stayed more than a day or two.

Never heard Mailbox Dancer before! What does it refer to?

IIRC:

Allegedly, people in World of Warcraft who played female characters and would take off all their armor (so that their character was "naked" aka in underwear, alternatively they'd wear "sexy" armor) and use the dance emote by the mailbox (a high traffic area), usually in hopes of getting attention and/or gold/items. People would joke that it was the WoW equivalent of stripping. Sad thing was that it reportedly worked sometimes. Not as common or effective now that it's generally accepted (creepy dudebros aside) that the gender ratio of WoW players is relatively even and being a woman who plays games isn't anything special. Or maybe just because creepy dudebros realized that the hot night elf dancing for khorium bars in Goldshire was probably played by another creepy dudebro.

At least in World of Warcraft, a female toon /dancing for "tips" on a mailbox in one of the cities. (Often a night elf in minimal clothing.)

Honestly, I’d bet that over half of the mailbox dancers are male players with female toons.
