well, yeah, I'm sure the "Special Girl" is like that. Maybe Anon also thinks like that, but the Special Girls think they are special and they aren't like the other girls.

I mean, the moment I did read this secret, I was like "omg ... you are not like the other girls, huh? Internalized misogyny, huh?" (because that's fucking common), but I also know that "Special Girls" (trademark) are fucking reality. One of my best friends acts like this. So yeah... My first reaction was also some kind of internalized misogyny, huh. (love you for that OP! I like to challenge my own views)

Guild Princesses suck ass. So do the male version* because they don't contribute anything and just think they are entitled to loot/help/whatever for existing. They use whatever means they have to get or steal what they want then go slink to the next guild or group to fuck over.

*The name for the male version tends to vary by game. My favorite has always been Broke Dick in reference that they can't do anything on their own.

Yeah this type of person doesn't have a set gender. Though I agree with OP that it's easier to get everyone else in the guild to boot or demand more effort from the male version than the female version. I don't LIKE either version but in terms of ease of dealing with, more people will back you if you point out the guy is doing nothing and will give the girls more slack. IDK if that's due to sexism on everyone's parts or what.

It's basically the game-version of those chicks who play dumb to make guys do shit for them, like changing their tires for free or other stuff with their cars, getting out of traffic tickets etc.

I imagine these types exist but I have never come across any in-game ever. At least in WoW, but I'm also EU so I wonder if maybe those types aren't as common over here?

This totally rubs me the wrong way. Why are all 'That Girl' girls useless and all dudebros know what they're doing? I have seen many varieties of both over the years, with That Girl being fucking useful and the dudebro being a complete dick and fucking everyone up.

While your gripe is mostly legitimate, I would advise you against dwelling on it overly much. Just from your various comments in this thread justifying your stance, I can kinda already see you slipping away from legitimacy and into borderline misogyny, which I’m sure isn’t what you want or intended. It sucks that people suck like that but you just gotta let them do their sucky selves, because expending mental energy on their suckiness just leads us down bad roads.

It's not the fact that they're useless that annoys me. I can carry useless people through dungeons, for the most part. It's the chicks that flirt and use extremely innuendo-laden language and sexual references all the time that annoy me. Like, they don't seem to know how to interact with dudes without it and it makes me extremely uncomfortable. Saying this makes me feel like a prude, but there it is.
