Re: VPNs

My experience with VPNs amounts to a bit of googling and picking the one that the most reasonable person recommended. It's Trustzone, and it's good because it's based in Madagascar??? for some reason to do with data protection (they're under no legal obligation to share data with EU or US authorities, I think)

It works well for me; I can choose which country IP I want, which is convenient for getting past region blocks, and you can get all sorts of funny youtube ads.

There are two things I don't like about it. If my Wi-fi acts up, TZ tries to connect and will tell me that it fails to do so with a loud error message ca. every ten seconds; the only way to get it to shut up is to exit it entirely until the 'net is back up. There's also this thing where Windows is trying to protect me from nastybad unknown drivers, and I have to manually disable this option for TZ to work. It's reset everytime there's a Windows update, and messing around in the advanced boot menu is drag. I can't really fault this on TZ, though.
