As a girl with a girlfriend, cosigned.

Femslashers have become completely awful. I blame it largely on how thoroughly tumblr has been infiltrated by TERFS. It's making even non-tumblr f/f spaces complete garbage.

Crackshippers generally aren't harassing people for shipping canon m/f pairings because they headcanoned the girl as a lesbian despite the fact that she's happily married and had eight children.

Crackshippers may laugh at their plight of having 5 fics, three that they wrote themselves, but they aren't pulling the "everyone hates lesbians!! even the LGBT+ people hate lesbians" when someone tells them not to scream slurs at people be racist, transphobic or biphobic.

Crackshippers generally aren't taking canon bi characters, saying they're lesbians and then screaming "everyone hates lesbians??? why can't you just let us have anything??" when someone tells them that Korra and Asami are canonly bi. (Same with literally any other bi character.)

Crackshippers aren't latching onto bi characters and freaking out every time the bi character so much as looks at someone of a different gender and going on huge campaigns for the bi character to never end up with a different gendered character. (Helloooo, 100 fandom.)

Crackshippers aren't taking aspects of people's religions and making them "lesbian icons" when said goddesses had husbands or male lovers and then screaming about how "everyone hates lesbians" when people from that actual religion tell them not to erase their history.

Crackshippers aren't reblogging pictures from trans women to mock and harass them, they aren't making posts that tell bisexuals and trans women that they deserve their rape and murder statistics, they aren't drawing pictures of trans women being boiled alive, burned and beaten like actual femslashers are doing.

I used to be a proud femslasher who did all the events and worked hard. Now it just isn't worth it. I just don't have the energy to check every single person I reblog from to make sure they aren't also doing comics where their OCs burn trans women alive.
