Where is the "anti-Klance vitriol" in my reply? But anyway, hating a ship is nothing compared to accusations of pedophilia, suicide baiting, and atacking both other fans and the staff. One VA recently threatened to call the cops on people who were harassing them.

Guess what group those people were part of.

Never said that represents 100% of Klance shippers, but the vast majority of antis who harass the staff are Klancers. There is a reason why "Klance" in the username and a Lance icon are considered red flags.

That's not true and you know it. For starters, the only ones harrasing the staff are Klancers. Harrassing other fans is wrong, but harrassing the staff, man, that's crossing the motherfucking line.

I'm not in Voltron fandom but I've been enough big fandoms to know there are two sides to every story. Especially in big fandoms it's not only one group that is causing problems.

I’m not so sure. There’s a special level of crazed entitlement that seems to develop in some shipper groups that get to the point that they believe their ship is or should be canon, in spite of all evidence to the contrary. Swanqueen comes to mind here, and Supercorp, and Johnlock...and probably others I can’t think of right now. Klance seems to be up there with the best of them.

klance is an especially weird case because the two of them don't even have enough canon material to warrant the level of crazy some of the shipper-base have gotten to.

i at least get why johnlock and supercorp are so big and how their crazy contingents spanwed. klance is just boggling in comparison, especially with claims of them being endgame.

There are wankers on both sides, but only one side calls other shippers pedophiles and threatens the show's staff with physical harm whenever they say something they don't like.

Meanwhile, whenever antis/Klance shippers attack the staff, the other fans try to combat it with love and support for the VLD crew. Saying that both sides are equally bad when you have no idea about what goes in the fandom is very unfair.

I'm in the Voltron fandom. It's mostly Klancer with some Sheith people being dramatic and causing trouble. But the KLancers are waaay more of a problem.

Then there's the Shalidans vs Anti-Shalidans and antis which cause trouble.

(Shalidan = Shiro/Paladin. Or shipping Shiro, who is older than the rest, with his teammates.)

Outside of these, many of the ships are actually quite chill.

in the fandom as well, don't ship anyone and yes, both sides are ugly crazy. Sure you've got sane ones on both sides but the ugly spills over pretty equally as well. Watching one side pretend they're angels is laughable. It wouldn't be so bad if they'd just keep it in their own corners but they both come out of the woodwork to drag the fight into all kinds of spaces no one wants it to be. Like here.

I have no horse in this race as I ship literally nothing and only passively watch this show because Shiro is hot, but I gotta say, this false equivalency just doesn't fly. Sheithers are just bog standard obnoxious, but Klanti shippers man. They've blackmailed the staff with leaks if they don't make their ship canon, harassed VA's, petitioned to get VA's fired for supporting "Shaladin" and being pedophiles (in Keaton's case, they said he preyed on his own children) because they support Shaladin ships, sent death threats to VA's and staff on the show to the point where Josh Keaton had to plead to the fandom to stop this madness, (minor tangent, but when Bex made a Sheith joke on Keaton's instagram pic of shoes, Klantis spammed his entire comments with "Shiro, you're like a brother to me" to the point where he had to turn off comments), make fake Josh Keaton/Bex twitter accounts where they talk about how much they support pedophilia, etc. Now they're making dummy Sheith accounts on twitter/tumblr in order to "infiltrate" Sheith circles and humiliate them. One such undercover Klanti recently posted a cosplayer fetish image that was entirely private in order to bash Sheithers for being degenerates. Klance shippers, and by extension Lance stans (love how one of them lied about a question they were going to ask at the monitored Q&A at Comic Con and instead whined about how mistreated poor Lance is. Boggles my mind that tumblr worships the most heterosexual fuckboy out of the entire cast) are just a whole new level of toxic.
