A couple of days ago, they posted a copy/pasted chat that included a slur. When it was pointed out, instead of apologising or being upset at all, they just defended their posting saying the person deserved to have their slur uncensored and that was all.

DA Wow, so what? If what you're saying is true then it was a quote. Generally when quoting someone you, ya know, say (or in this case post) exactly what they said because that's how a quote works. Why should they apologize about something that someone else said? Why do you care so much about it that you waited several days to snipe at them anonymously in a completely unrelated thread?

Oh, sorry, I should have said NAYRT up there. I was just explaining the other person's beef.

I remember that, and I believe she worded it not that 'the person' deserved to have it uncensored, but that censoring it took away from the whole assholishness of the person saying it?

I kind of have to agree, it's like people who want to censor old Looney Tunes cartoons rather than what they did, which point out they're a (wrong/bad) product of their time, and that censoring them is like pretending they were never made/never in the wrong for having made them.

For what it’s worth, I live in a relatively liberal area where nobody uses that word. My perspective on that word is somewhat detached, like watching a monkey fling its own shit. I should have realized the word would be more sensitive for folks who actually have to deal with assholes who use that word in real life.

Thank you very much for this apology. It means a lot to me. That word has been thrown at me my whole life and it stung to see it in a place I don't usually and didn't expect it. I'm sorry I trolled you. Thank you very much.
