I remember that, and I believe she worded it not that 'the person' deserved to have it uncensored, but that censoring it took away from the whole assholishness of the person saying it?

I kind of have to agree, it's like people who want to censor old Looney Tunes cartoons rather than what they did, which point out they're a (wrong/bad) product of their time, and that censoring them is like pretending they were never made/never in the wrong for having made them.
