My hours have been doubled to 30 after my surgery recovery. Still isn't full time employment with health insurance, but it's a start.

My employer asked me if I could be cross trained on another role in the company to do on some days. I don't want to BUT it will make me more valuable to the company.

Why don't you want to?

Because it requires calling people a lot to make sure they are doing the shit they need to. Not sure how commanding I can be.

Yeah, I can see how that would be a pain in the ass.

On the other hand, it is a useful skill to have in your pocket.

That is why I will probably do it. Plus, I love my job but they've been having a rough year. So I want to make myself less expendable.

Yeah probably a good plan. Sucks to be in that position, just hang in there! I'm sure you'll do great.

I'm on summer break for one more week and I'm actually kinda looking forward to going back. I miss my kiddos.

I've pretty much given up. I've been turned down by everyone, even the junk stores like WalMart haven't given me a shot. I desperately need a job but I just... I don't know what to do.

I'm sorry, that sucks. Looking for work is hard, and not finding it is so demoralizing, so I feel your pain. I hope that something turns up for you soon. <3

My work is ridiculously short staffed right now because our regional manager stole our store manager to fix up one of his problem stores and so we haven't recruited. I'm doing twice if not three times my contracted hours at the moment and cracking up. But I don't have the strength to advocate for myself and say 'whoa please stop'. I have a small amount of hours each week for health reasons but the more I work the less I feel I have the energy or mental state of mind to make it all stop. Add this to relaties visiting from Australia and I. am. so. tired. Work itself is fine. There is just to much of it.
