The reverse sexism argument just seems totally and obviously bizarre and insupportable in this context, unless you really and truly think that women are genetically incapable of being funny

which I guess people do think

now I'm bummed out

Sadly, yes. The arguments I remember seeing was that it was soooo unfair to force shows to book unfunny, undeserving women instead of hilarious, worthy men. And it's not like they didn't give lady comedians a chance! It's just that women aren't funny and they make dumb jokes about periods, blah blah blah...

I have never seen a British panel game show, but this comment made me laugh out loud, and honestly I'm still smiling over it.
