Candy corn. I absolutely love that stuff, and mellowcreme pumpkins, too. I always buy at least one bag of each every Halloween. Finding the pumpkins on sale at Walmart a few weeks ago was one of the best things that happened to me all fucking year. Other people think candy corn and pumpkins are gross? GOOD. More for me.

Moving on, Captain Janeway is my favorite Trek Captain. She's tough, brilliant, would do anything for her crew especially Seven and is gorgeous to boot. While I can certainly agree that there are plenty of valid criticisms to be made about her character (especially regarding the inconsistent writing), the intense level of hatred I've seen directed towards her by so many Trek fans is kind of disturbing at times, though not particularly surprising, given that she was the first female lead in Star Trek, which is apparently more than reason enough for a large portion of the fandom to hate her guts. Regardless, I will always be completely gay for Janeway.

I like Janeway as a captain (albeit she's not my favorite). And I do agree that a lot of the vitriol against her is related to sexism, but it probably doesn't help that she was on Voyager and welllllllllllll

Y'know, I honestly don't think Voyager is even that bad as a whole. Sure, the first couple of seasons sucked, but hell, so did the first season of TOS and the first two seasons of TNG. True, there was Threshold, but before that TNG also had a really fucking stupid de-evolution episode. Voyager just took it further, and at least it was later retconned.

To me, though, Voyager's biggest flaw was that it had the worst first officer of any Trek series, with Chakotay having less than half the charisma of beardless Riker, twice the annoyance factor of Wesley Crusher, and somehow even fewer variances in facial expression than a newly-liberated Borg drone. I remain fairly certain that Chakotay could have been replaced at any point with a cardboard cutout of himself and the crew would've only taken notice when they realized he hadn't crashed any shuttles lately.

Overall, yes, the show had its problems, but the same could be said for the rest of the Star Trek series, and like the rest of the various Trek series', when it was good, it was really fucking good.

I'm a stank whore for mellowcreme pumpkins. I'll even get that mellowcreme autumn mix with the assorted flavors, I don't care. My coworker chows down candy corn like he has nothing better to do. During the months of September to November, I don't know how the fuck we keep our teeth.
