everybody got so hung up on the OMG SEXISM of it all but i found the exploration of human response to loneliness extremely affecting

Haven't seen it, but I always feel It's reductive to only fixate on one aspect (the main negative one at that) when making a critique of a film or book. Sure, sexism, but why? And what else is there? If you stop there you don't explore the characters, their motivations, the context of their situation etc.

I might watch it. But I kinda don't care about either of the actors. So maybe not.
