I used to love Goku when I was a kid and hated Vegeta. Now Vegeta's one of my favorite characters and I question a lot of Goku's behavior.

Usagi from Sailor Moon also annoyed me when I was a kid because I thought she was a cowardly crybaby. I've been rewatching the series and it hit me that she's just a scared kid thrust into a role she never wanted and she does do her best to save the world.
