There was a period if time between when my VCR conked out (and video tapes were getting hard to come by, anyway) and when I got cable with DVD where I watched almost no regular tv shows because having to be in front of the tv at a particular time just got annoying. Maybe I don't want to stay up that late or I need to run an errand. I still watch almost no regular tv, though, and yet I watch entirely too much tv because with cable there's always something on. That's why I'm going to drop it (no satellite or streaming, either).
