I never noticed Quill even HAD a moustache in GotG2 until there was a secret here that said they didn't like it.

Are you going to claim that Rosanne making one racist joke (which ultimately was based on appearance) is worse than James Gunn making multiple jokes about pedophilia? Jokes, by the way, that are so egregious on the face of people who see it without context think he's an actual pedophile? Jokes that can't even be repeated in public?

Hmm... I'm sure that makes sense in your head, but the rest of us are out here. So either explain whatever it is you're trying to say, and stop pretending that some little passive-aggressive jab qualifies as a rebuttal.

There is so. Much. A/B/O fic in my fandom. Thankfully most of it is tagged but its so frustrating when someone posts a link to a hot new fic (especially if it's fic of my OTP/OT3 and is rated explicit), and I click on the link and oh, it's more A/B/O, yet again. I'm glad the people who're into that have so much to choose from, but...I just want something sexy that ISN'T about that. :(

Well, it would be nice if media companies would grow a set of balls rather than kowtowing to what is usually a very loud and nasty minority.

Spent most of the day watching the guys install the new air conditioner and making sure kitty was okay out on the porch. But new aircon, yay.

I would point to the consistent sum total of Roseanne's public statements and beliefs across a span of many years, and not just one joke that was the specific inciting incident for her firing. She's said a lot of weird shit. Outspoken Qanon supporter, that kind of thing.

Okay but famous people are still people doing jobs? If I employed someone who went around calling people the n word and other slurs or was just in general not someone I wanted customers to associate with my brand, then I should have every right to fire them.

Now in the case of James, his firing is based on stuff dredged up from the past (and we're not talking Roman Polansky level stuff) that I wouldn't consider fire worthy, but I'm not his boss.

I don't think anyone looks good in this kerfuffle.

I'm so tired of the sappy stuff in my OTP tag. I get it, I do. I do think they are in love with each other and can be romantic to each other at times. But their villains, for crying out loud. They don't spend every waking moment doting on each other and going on romantic walks through the fortress. They scheme and plot. They murder. They torture. They conquer. Half the appeal of the ship to me is that the are so alike and have such a strong bond and can find romance in doing terrible things to everyone else.

I get that different people ship differently. I don't want to judge them. I just want to see more villain stuff in the tags and less "romantic walks through Angband" stuff, please.

I think him and Jenna are so funny and cute together, but I absolutely get how he could be too much for people. He is very obnoxious when he's acting up but tbh so is she, it's why I think they fit so well and I like seeing him in her videos.

But you don't need to be a fan of his to like her I'd say and so long as you're not going onto any of his social media accounts and posting hate grumbling to yourself, or other like-minded friends, is fine.

Honestly, I couldn't care less about him. Those tweets were disgusting and disturbing. Maybe they weren't a crime, and maybe they weren't deserving of firing. But I can't bring myself to care because anyone who would think that crap was funny is not someone I'm ever going to care about.

I don't know if The Losers even has much of a fandom, but Jensen/Cougar ftw.

If James Gunn had said that he would stop making dark jokes on Twitter, and then he started doing it again anyway, I think the argument would be much stronger
