I guess good for you for getting that far? This book was being recommended all over my usual online hangouts as a Beauty and the Beast fan, and I never finished it and barely remember what I did read. From your description it doesn’t sound like I would’ve liked it any better if I powered through it.

Huh. I guess I could see where there are elements and similar themes as Beauty and the Beast, but I don't think I would've made that connection if you hadn't said it. A lot of people like the idea of hot faeries more than I do, but I started off with a lukewarm enthusiasm that just died at the end.

The more you know of the original Beauty and the Beast story, the more blatant the connection is.
