I went for a run this morning, came home and showered, then went to Starbucks and got breakfast. Then I had a mani-pedi appointment and my nails are bomb af now (I got a silver holo polish on fingernails and a medium blue cream on toenails). Rest of the afternoon will be spent watching movies on my tablet in my bed with my dog!

I did laundry all morning, then went grocery shopping, and now I'm writing fic.

.... I scrubbed a couch.
... yes, that ate most of my day.
Our couch is this ridiculous off-white beige color because we inherited it. OMG never buy seating that's super-light colored. Especially if there are children around. Over the years ... well, let's just say it got a little ridiculous because EVERY tiny thing left a mark and it's STUPID HARD TO CLEAN so nobody bothered.
It is now a clean couch.
It'll last maybe a month.
And then the first idiot will think "popcorn - what can go wrong?"

I feel you, OP. Years ago, we bought a light beige colored couch and it's only lasted this long because no pets, no kids. And it still needed cleaning. The next couch will be darker colored, but in the meantime I'm thinking of putting a slipcover on it for everyday use.

I do my best with "here's a blanket I've draped over it as a throw" (because blankets you can toss in the laundry and couches are COUCHES) but, yeah, people get chilly, and then they're UNDER the stupid throw and... but maybe it's time to think about slipcovering. If I can find something that fits and doesn't look heinous...

Trying to get my shit together to go back to work after having had the last week off. Given that it's almost five thirty and I haven't done much other than the dishes... eh. It's not going so well.

I don't want to go back to work tomorrow.

I went swimming earlier today which was fun but I'm not doing anything now and I'm really bored.

I nursed stiffness in my thighs from that damn steep mountain hike yesterday, made and ate delicious ratatouille with my cousins, explained our family tree to my cousin's girlfriend, got plastered on rhubarb wine, tried to watch shooting stars--calling it a night now, time to hit the sack. Ah I love being on vacation!

I've been depressed so much this summer and Sims gave me something to take my mind off of it, and now its given me a story to do and inspiration.

I did some cooking, but mostly napped. It was super hot again today and that plus chronic fatigue just makes me find the nearest horizontal surface and pass out.

I also slept funny last night and now my neck hurts, ugh.
