It varies a lot based on not just who you follow, but what social media you're on - Twitter is going to be a lot different than Instagram, that kind of thing.

& there's nothing wrong with being happy and posting about it. But it does bug me, and I think it's harmful, when there's a cultural pressure to present things that way *all the time* - to present your life as though you're constantly doing cool, expensive shit with an endless lineup of cool, hot people. It bugs me and I find it very alienating.
