(Anonymous) 2018-08-14 06:40 pm (UTC)(link)No? My favorite character is Rey. Followed by Leia. (Although if we count all of the movies, not just the latter trilogy, Leia might top Rey.) And how am I misinterpreting Rose taking away Finn's agency? He was set to make a heroic sacrifice to help save others. She could have killed him by crashing into him, and that death (or those deaths if she had died as well, which was entirely possible) would have then served no purpose. Finn wasn't a depressed person wanting to commit suicide because of a potentially skewed view of the world, and thus someone in need of intervention. As far as I can remember (I only saw the movie once), he was thinking clearly and decided this was the best option for the good of everyone, and then he had that choice taken away from him. What am I missing according to you?
