Yes, by not letting him sacrifice his life.

As i said to the other anon, He was set to make a heroic sacrifice to help save others. Finn wasn't a depressed person wanting to commit suicide because of a potentially skewed view of the world, and thus someone in need of intervention. As far as I can remember (I only saw the movie once), he was thinking clearly and decided this was the best option for the good of everyone, and then he had that choice taken away from him.

And as dreamingofcats said, it's not like her plan was foolproof. They easily both could have died because of what she did, and in that case the death(s) would have served no purpose. And it's not like she had a better plan than Finn's for helping everyone else. Yeah, his plan required his death, but how many rebels have died over the years as sacrifices to the cause and to help others succeed? It sucks for him and people who care for him, but it was a valid choice he made.

It's her character arc though. Her sister dies sacrificing herself for the rebellion and Rose is not able to help, isn't even in the vicinity when this happens. She lost, alone, and grieving when she makes friends with Finn. Then she's right there when he's about to do the same thing her sister did at the start of the film. It make sense that she'd react by trying to save him.
