At least, that's how I feel about the people who believe those rumors. I ship Destiel, but I absolutely do not want it to become canon. I just feel like it would be too little, too late, you know? Plus, pretty much all the ships I've liked that ended up being canon turned to shit. I think those rumors are just someone stirring the pot and/or overhearing something and misunderstanding it. Also, I really like that style of artwork. Do you happen to know the artist, OP?

I ship destiel, too and I want them to become canon because I feel like there's been more than enough subtext and even ship tease to justify it. That's a lot of build up for no pay off. I think the smallest thing they could (and should do) is make Castiel's romantic feelings for Dean blatantly canon verse vaguely canon like they are now. Of course I know that there's a chance they won't do anything for destiel at all, and I believe I'm justified in thinking that that's shitty.

The rumors are probably just that, I agree. There are a lot of people who would love for this to happen and it's probably all wishful thinking.

No, I get it. There's enough subtext that they could justify it and it's been teased a lot. I do sometimes wonder what it'd be like if it was canon on the show, but for me, it's just been too long and I'm worried the writers will somehow screw up their relationship. That's not to say I'd stop tuning in 'cause canon Destiel would hopefully equal more Cas and I'm basically still watching the show just for Cas.

It's okay about the mistake and a lot of people are in the "still watching the show for Cas" boat, me included. I still watch for Rowena, too and Jack was a delightful surprise this season. However, it really should have ended in the 11th season. Yes, I like the show past season 5 and think it was good enough to justify its existence. No, it was never as good as it was in the 5th season but the show under Gamble and Carver had some interesting ideas and great writers, Ben Edlund especially.

As a destiel shipper, OP I think it's a little from column A and a little from column B. I'm a cynical asshole about destiel actually becoming canon at this point, so I feel sorry for those with hope and jealous because I wish I still did.

Rather than Destiel, I am more in disbelief at the fact you said season fourteen. I thought for sure it'd go canon gay before it hit half that many seasons, lmao
