(Anonymous) 2018-08-15 03:21 am (UTC)(link)Willow and Xander both failed to mature as characters after high school. It's like the writers forgot to have them grow up and be more aware and critical of their own actions. You can kind of see them both looking like they are in the later seasons, but instead of actually being more mature, they just became more critical of other people and felt superior in their own judgements.

(Anonymous) 2018-08-15 08:57 am (UTC)(link)It's like he became a different man after all the success and even though it's so cliche it's still sad.
His Wonder Woman script was unhinged, could not believe the same man who wrote one of my favorite heroines of fiction would have Diana talked down to and degraded by fucking canonically-chronic-damsel Steve Trevor and some army goons.
Not to mention cheating on his wife or writing comics!Xander hooking up with fucking team little sister Dawn! (Seriously I don't know how fans of the original series can read that dribble and not weep at the "new canon".)
Thank god Jane Espenson is keeping the BVtS legacy respectable and brilliant, she's the true icon honestly.
