Thick haired people

Are there any other women on here with thick hair? Have you tried a bob before?

My hair is long-ish (armpit length) and is becoming kind of unmanagable. Plus, its hot here. I'm thinking of getting a layered bob. But I'm not sure. My hair keeps getting more curly (is right now pretty wavy), so I need something that works with really thick, really wavy hair. I like the look of a bob, though, with the front of it being longer so I still have hair framing my face.

I have thick, fine curly hair (type 3b) and have an A-line bob, I love it. It has to be cut dry bc of the curl but it looks good and is easy to take care of.

Is A-line the same length across? Not sure what that means.

My big thing is I want it to remain long in the front because I hate the way my face looks when it isn't framed by hair.

No, A-line is longer in front than in back, Google A-line bob to see examples (nothing NSFW comes up).

I have thick, wavy hair, and the problem is that apparently no stylist on earth is capable of layering it so I don't have a poofy triangle head. So I just keep it longish and wear it up most of the time.

My stylist is really good with thick and curly hair. I trust him. But yes, that is my fear. But my thing is, I don't have time to spend a lot of time on my hair, it is ridiculously hot here, my hair is so thick it tangles in an hour or less so I have to bring a brush to work with me.

I want something that still frames my face but is more low maintenance.

Oh god yeah. I used to have hella thick hair, and it's also curly so I could never do a medium haircut. It always had to be long (at least shoulder length) or short (pixie-ish) because I could never find anyone who could cut it medium length without making me look like I'd stuck my finger in an outlet.

I have thick hair, but I've never considered putting it in a bob style. I just cut it when it gets too long and lion's mane-y :p. Something to perhaps consider for the future, though...

If you think that look would work for you, though, and feel a lot nicer in the heat (you have my sympathies there!), go for it :D.

My hair is mostly straight (slight wave) and thick and I had a short bob for years because my mother insisted upon it. I didn't like it, it always poofed up and looked too helmet-like, IMO.
