IA too, though other than TNG, very few shows' first two seasons are uniformly bad.

It just so happens TNG was the show that inspired this secret!

With TNG, just watch the pilot, then that S2 ep where Data plays Sherlock Holmes on the holodeck, then skip to S3.

You don't need to watch the first couple seasons of TNG to understand the later ones. There's not really an overarching plot like with more recent tv shows. Really you could watch any episode in any order unless it's a two parter. Even with the episodes that bring in recurring characters, they set up the episodes well enough where you can get the drift of whats going on even if you didn't see the character's introduction.

But that said, season one of TNG is pretty frickin hilarious, I appreciate the campy shittyness of it and how off the wall some of the plots are.

LMAO OP, as someone who struggled through the first two seasons of TNG. I'd say watch the "Best of" eps that everyone praises if you really want to watch it. I've watched it all and honestly? Not super worth it.

Well, I'd say season 1 of Babylon 5 is not great. B5 is probably my favorite show of all time. But I had to force myself to keep watching through season 1, and I usually only pick and choose a few episodes on rewatch. It was once I hit season 2 that suddenly I fell in love.

There are a few season 2 episodes that are secret favs of mine, one I even wrote fanfic about back when I was in high school in the 90s (don't worry, it never made it to the internet, I think I showed it to my best friend and that's it).
