Weekend Plans

What is everyone doing this weekend?

I am going to recover from getting 8 fillings. It was 3 hours ago and my face is still numb. :( Other than that, probably playing some Overwatch or Deadlight.

I managed to adjust my work schedule so I can go to Jewel Staite's panel at Michigan comic con tomorrow after all hell yeah :DDD

Ugh me too. And not even proper shifts, I have to go to the offsite hospital for 930 to 130, which means I have to drive on the highway for a measly four hours work. :|

Ouch :U I hope you won't be in too much pain! Also - I asked for podcast recs here once and I believe you were the one who mentioned Wolf 359. If so, I owe you a great debt. My life has gotten a lot brighter after finding that <3

As for weekend plans, I have ambitiously decided to tidy up my home and my life and my one thousand little projects, so that I can focus properly. Making a list of all the books taking up shelf space after I picked them up at flea markets and garage sales and never read will be an absolute hoot, I'm sure.

Thanks. Have you finished it? I loved Wolf 359 and was so sad when it ended (but the story was amazing).

I hope you get at least....5 projects done. That seems like a good number. :D

Ugh, I'm sorry. That numbness sucks. I had a tooth pulled due to an abscess and on the bus ride home some guy left his wallet on the seat. I jumped out and ran after him to give it back, forgetting that one side of my face was basically sagging and still bleeding a lot. He must have been terrified. I hope you feel back to normal soon!

I'm working Saturday and possibly Sunday. Bit stressed since my manager is on holiday so I'm having to handle stuff I wouldn't normally handle. On the plus side the two new staff members we got are super sweet and doing really well.

Dear god, that must've been fun. Half-way out of numbness is the worst, when you think you can have a drink without it just falling out of your mouth, but... no. No, you're wrong, and now it's all over your shirt.

I'm not doing much. The highlight will be roasting a chicken. I've got it spatchcocked, and roast garlic/herbs/butter stuffed under its skin, but it's not actually cooking until tomorrow. I don't have enough weight to snap the breastbone in half, so it's not quite as flat as it should be, but AH WELL. SUCH IS LIFE.

Sleep. I'm so tired I'm going to go to bed at 7 tonight.

Other than that, debating between continuing my Doctor Who rewatch or watching the Lovecraft movies I downloaded since I'm obsessing over Lovecraftian things right now.

Also want to figure out how to get the bluetooth in my car to work so I can hook up my ipod and play my own music in my car. No idea how because never had a car with bluetooth before.

Oooh, can I ask which movies? I adore Lovecraft but I've never seen any of the movies attached to his stuff apart from Re-Animator, which is such a loose adaptation but such good campy fun.

Playing lots of WoW as the new expansion hit this week and I hit 120 so it's time to do the new things I need to in order to get raid ready. And to just have fun dicking about with friends in the new dungeons.

I'm going to attempt to do some writing. I haven't written anything in forever but I came up with an idea I'm excited about so I'm going to see what happens.

Also reading. I'm re-reading 1984 and reading a couple other things, including this one awful book that I'm kind of hate-reading at this point but it's at least keeping me entertained. I also have several non-fiction history books piled up and I might start one of them, and I want to get back to finishing all the Sherlock Holmes stories (I put them aside to read other stuff).

I might bake something and of course there's cleaning as usual. Oh, and maybe some online shopping.

And probably watching videos of my newest OTP that I am stupidly, embarrassingly obsessed with at the moment. I seriously haven't fangirled over a ship this hard in years and I feel pretty dumb for it.

Trying to destress from a rough work week that included hitting a trigger article. Unfortunately, we're traveling for my partner's mom's 85th birthday, and I'm a bit worried there's going to be drama for reasons that are complicated.

Tomorrow I'm going to clean my apartment, and I really mean it this time. Also watching stuff - probably finishing Fearless on Amazon Prime and maybe starting Black Spot. And maybe playing Persona 5. I really wanted to play it but I'm having a little trouble getting into it to be honest.

I'm currently attending Sabaton Open Air in Falun, Sweden. So far I've seen a bunch of nice bands and taken a tour of the copper mine. I'm blowing what's left of my paycheck on Powerwolf merch and also trying to lessen the cold and sore throat I've got from sleeping in a tent.

went to a surprisingly great local japanese culture festival. the cringey anime/manga/cosplay stuff was well distanced from the regular culture stuff, so that was nice for a change.
The food was great!

of course i got a sunburn even though i live and breath SPF 50
