She hasn't released anything so far. Sooooooooo.

(Anonymous) 2018-08-24 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Soooooooo... what?

(Anonymous) 2018-08-24 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Isn't that what the secret says? That it makes sense for her not to release anything until she's ready to take legal action? Any lawyer worth his/her salt would advise her not to release it publicly.

The only thing I'm going to say here is: if she doesn't press charges, that doesn't prove that it didn't happen.

I have no idea who this woman is or what the story is, but her Wiki page says that she intends to move on with her life. I doubt she's going to release anything ever.

I'm completely with you, OP.
It says a lot about society that this has to be a secret.
Despite the "Me Too" movement, there is still a lot of people who refuse to believe a woman when she comes forward with sexual harassment/assault claims. This despite the fact that 'false reporting' of sexual harassment and sexual assault is the same percentage of any other crime- very low. In other words, the vast majority of people who come forward on with these claims are telling the truth.

(Anonymous) 2018-08-24 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
They're perfectly willing to believe them, as long as they don't know or like the person accused.

(Anonymous) 2018-08-24 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
If you say "I have proof!" don't be surprised if people - including people who already believe you - say, "Okay, let's see it." The one thing that really bugs me about all of this (I mean, besides the possible abuse) was people getting angry that anyone would dare want to see the purported proof. It's the standard response, regardless of what a person is claiming.

If and when and to whom it would be a good idea to show this proof... well, I'm not her lawyer so I have no idea.

Okay, yes, it is reasonable to ask for the proof. But to be shocked that someone is also being reasonable if they are going forward with a court case to keep the evidence until the appropriate time is not reasonable. It is also not reasonable to keep hounding someone or to say they must be lying if they aren't giving us proof right this minute.

(Anonymous) 2018-08-25 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
Nah, show me this proof or you are lying. Funny how any other crime is treated that way.

"I was robbed!"
"Oh, can you show me what was taken?"
"No. But believe me, I was!"

(Anonymous) 2018-08-25 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
Being robbed doesn't have people saying you asked for it/were dressed wrong/etc.

(Anonymous) 2018-08-25 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
If someone who was not the police or a lawyer asked me that I would be completely in my right to tell them to fuck off.

(Anonymous) 2018-08-25 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
"I was robbed!" "Oh, can you show me what was taken?"

This is a terrible analogy, who would ever actually say this? If it was a court of law and I was trying to get someone convicted of robbery, yes, absolutely, you need to show some proof. But if my friend says to me that they got robbed, I'm not going to demand fucking receipts.

(Anonymous) 2018-08-24 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
What was the specific claim that was made with regards to having proof? (I actually don't remember)

(Anonymous) 2018-08-25 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
I have audio/video that will support and prove many of the things I’ve stated in this post. I’ve chosen not to include it for your sake, in the hopes that the person you’ve become will do the right thing.

But then when people have asked her for the proof and she refused to take part in the AMC investigation, well...

What always bothers me in these cases (and I don’t know much about this case but I’ve seen similar arguments many times) is: rape is a crime where sometimes there can be little to no evidence besides testimony. Not every person who can’t pull up clear physical evidence that they were raped is a horrible lying liar who lies. I’m not a judge so I can’t truly know which accusations are real or false, but as someone not involved in the case immediately jumping to “well show me the proof or you’re a liar!!!” Seems like a bad faith reaction.

Chloe Dykstra always has been, and always will be an attention seeking, drama mongering whore. Until she drops the proof, she's crying wolf.

i can't imagine what it's like to be so ugly and hateful.

(oh, i'm talking about you, just to be clear.)
