I took a mental health day. Just got dressed, got coffee, got high, got a shower. Been watching movies all afternoon.

Made sure to get all my work done because I am taking tomorrow off to visit my sister over the weekend. Got my house contract signed.

Worked, and then got home and relaxed. *Am* relaxing. It's been raining for about two days, on and off, lots of thunder and lightning and such, and it's really lovely and cool, so I'm happy.

Was at work. Was supposed to go to a lunch event. went to the restaurant only to find out it had been cancelled, so that was annoying.

Home alone right now. Watching Babylon 5. Every time I rewatch B5, I'm reminded of why this show is my absolute favorite. There are several shows I really love, but B5 always ends up topping the list.

Monitoring my dog. He had a seizure and hasn't had one in a while (he's on meds for epilepsy), so it scared the hell out of me.

I should write, or clean, or do something productive, but I just am severely lacking in motivation at the moment.

After a couple weeks of feeling blah and sad I made a deal with myself that if I got some shit done I could treat myself. So I cleaned my stovetop and counters, watered my yard, did a shitton of dishes, schlepped two loads of laundry to the laundromat, bought some groceries, and thanks to all the chores, walked 4.2 miles so far today. Currently heading downtown to buy a last minute nosebleed seat for the Phantom of the Opera tour.

1. I'm still shocked over the amount of hate Willow got here when we were talking about her. She's my second favorite after Buffy, and I didn't realize how much she's hated. Still don't get it.

2. I feel really bad for Sinclair's actor, and he did an amazing thing and was amazingly strong. I'm still kind of glad he left, though? Because I think Sheridan is a better and much more complicated character.

3. I hate how much Delenn gets sidelined later on. She, Sinclair, and Sheridan are all supposed to be the One. And yet, her role gets smaller and it seemed like sometimes they didn't know what to do with her.

5. I don't really like Garibaldi. I'd say he and Londo are my least favorite characters. I get Garibaldi's role, and it was a good and necessary thing. I still find him annoying.

6. TBH, it seems like every time I rewatch Doctor Who I like Ten a little less. He treated both Martha and Donna like crap.

I never really liked Angel or Spike for Buffy.

In retrospect, I kinda wish she'd ended up with Faith.

I loved Deadpool 2 but I didn't like the extended cut version. I didn't mind the added in stuff, but I didn't like any of the stuff they'd changed from the theatrical release (like the music at the end fight). It didn't fit as well IMO.

For some reason at age 25 my main fandom interests are all children shows - but ones without much in the way of adult fans. Mostly literal Disney Channel fair. It sucks because the fandom skews young so there is very little in the way of well written fic (though it is charming seeing young writers “Baby’s first fic” fics, in a nostalgic way) - and because I have no desire to have fandom discussions with children and have a hard time finding adult fans I want to talk to.

I know I have no right to complain cause uh yeah of course these fandoms skew young, but it still sucks. Why can’t I just like the fandoms my peers like?

1. Travis is my least favorite McElroy brother. Not because he's unfunny, but because he leans so hard into the whole "everyone is important and special" shtick. I'm sorry Trav, but I only buy that from one person and you are no Fred Rogers!

2. I wish reverse harem romance novels were more...harem-y, I guess. Like, a queen with an actual harem type of power dynamic as opposed to a poly FMM+ relationship where everyone is equal.

Does anyone have an account? If you do, do you find it worth the money, does it help you stay in the habit of writing daily?

I tried the demo and it's interesting in theory, but I'm worried that I'm going to be paying (even if it is a minimal amount) and it's going to be one more thing I ignore because I'm too braindead from work to even think about writing.
