I don't think he would take it. Seems like a lot of the MCU creators and actors are pissed of about his firing. Disney dun goofed

Until Disney comes to a public agreement with Gunn on the script and his pre-production work, etc, and Gunn approves whatever it is, any director who takes the job is basically a scab.

I wouldn't hold it against someone a little more small time who couldn't possibly turn down a Big Disney Break, but Taika doesn't need it, and I'm pretty sure he knows it.
