I hate Rose which makes me sad because I've never hated a SW character before. I can even tolerate Jar-Jar and Padme. I suppose it doesn't help that she's a clumsily written character trapped in a pointless subplot written with all the subtlety of a pro wrestling vignette, but I despised the way they dumbed Finn down so she'd have someone to lecture.

1) people who hate Rose for being at worst mediocre more than Jar Jar for being at worst yet another racist caricature in Star Wars confuse the hell out of me

And 2) wait, is Padme a hated character??

I can tolerate Jar-Jar because I watched those movies as a kid and while I still didn't like him then, it's harder to hate things when I was a kid.
