No reason you can't join the fandom. But people will be talking about things. People shouldn't have to restrict conversations just because someone, somewhere might not have seen it.

Then again, I don't think spoiler marking in general is necessary. Just make clear what media you are talking about, and people should assume that people are going to talk about all parts of that media.
