There's a "statute of limitations" on spoilers, as far as I'm concerned. And I prefer to be spoiler-free myself, so I know how annoying it is when someone spoils something - and I also know I take that risk by engaging in a fandom.

Something that's in theaters - spoiler cut. A TV episode that aired less than a week ago - spoiler cut. But expecting fans of a show that ended, say, a decade ago to be cautious when talking within a fandom? That is a ridiculous and selfish attitude, IMO. You need to take some personal responsibility (and look at the issue reasonably) rather than trying to police other people in those cases.
