Same. I don't think that any of the remaining candidates would be particularly good rulers. Maybe Jon, Dany and Cersei will all get killed and they'll start the Democratic republic of White walkers instead.

Well, I would totally want Sansa on the throne, except that I'm more invested in her becoming the glorious queen in the north that we all know she could be.

Jon will probably get it after Dany dies in battle or something. Meh. To me, Jon feels like a particularly egregious mediocre-white-man scoops the pot with an annoying side of chosen-white-savior....

If Jon ends up on the Iron Throne? I"m done. No. Just, killing off the female heir to give it to a man? Fuck that. But I'm still mad about the whole Raegar married Lyana thing. Nope. I wanted Jon to be a Targaryen, but an illegitimate one.

True, but Jon is the least objectionable one that I can think of. I want Sansa as the Stark in the North, I super-dislike Tyrion and Jaime and Cersei...and who else is left? Arya's path isn't leading her to anything like a happy ending and I'm concerned that Dany is going to go out with her dragons...

If I'd end it the way I would want it, it would be a detente between Dany (with Tyrion) in the South and Sansa in the North (with Arya and Bran at her side), Jon...er, sigh, I assume married to Dany.
(all just my personal opinion BTW, I stopped reading for a long time after the Red Wedding and the Starks are my absolute faves).

Jon would be a far better leader than anyone else because he doesn't want to be a leader. So he is not power hungry for it.

He'd be too much like his father (both bio father and father who raised him). He'd be unwilling to listen to those who understand politics. He'd believe the best of people and get himself killed. Dany is a better choice because she listens and can take advice. Sh's smart enough to have the smartest advisors around her. And yes, she's made some terrible decisions, but she's learned.

Some very good points. I just worry because even if GRRM doesn't finish it, he's apparently told the showrunners how it all ends and I'm just not sure he'd write dual queens..sigh. Frankly, I love Sansa way more than Dany, personally, so I'm very worried about her. Just leave her alone in her home, please!! She's suffered enough!

100% agree. Illegitimate Targaryen Jon stumbling into monarchy as a Stark was what I was thinking would happen, but making him legitimate and ousting Dany completely by lineage? Bullshit.
