152. Or maybe we just can't play those types of games. I've tried at a friend's house, because I've read enough about MGS that I really want to play it. But I don't have the gaming skills or hand-eye coordination. So I stick to RPGs where every attack comes from picking an option in a menu.

It just bothers me when people go 'ew mgs' without even trying to play it. You had a go, and that's what counts. :)

Yeah. But also remember that I had free access to it to try it out. If people know that they, like me, probably won't have the skills to play it, you can't blame them for not spending money just to try it.

It's a game. It's a learning experience like anything. You can't expect to pick it up and be great at it, especially if you're not used to those kinds of games. Half the fun is the challenge and trying something completely new, and then a cyborg ninja chops the Russian cowboy's arm off.

Not necessarily. Especially if you play for the story, and the main point of the gameplay for you is to get you from story point to story point. Then, frustrating or difficult gameplay isn't worth it. That was the decision I made, and you can't accuse people of being obsessed with appearance or otherwise too shallow for the game just for being a casual gamer who hates failing over and over again just to learn the system when what they really want is the story and the characters.

Oh, "worth it"=worth the money paid for the game (and, in some cases, for the system to play it on if you're a Nintendo bitch like me).
