126. Well, I was referring to you as one, but now that you've explained your stance better in the comments below, I realize that I probably took what you said the wrong way. Sorry.

But yes, unfortunately, many female writers do have to go by pseudonyms today if they expect to be taken seriously. Which is unfortunate, but true.

No problem, I wrote that badly. And agreed.

While it was predominant up until the beginning of the 20th century, that doesn't mean it still doesn't happen now. The very fact that some one posted such an asinine secret (troll or not) shows that the thought still exists in 2008. Which is ridiculous.

*blink* I seem to have gotten my point across badly. I meant that it happened then so people wouldn't make the same assumptions as the person in Secret 126 makes.
