I do find it funny that, of the diverse set of characters she has, Sugar chose to make the skinny, white, conventional looking gem the most oppressed/dehumanized. Like good job there, Sucrose.

And every time something not so pleasant happens to a POC or POC-coded character in any show, y'all scream that the writers just love to write about the suffering of POC. Imagine if Pearls looked like Garnet. You'd accuse Sugar of literally supporting the re-legalization of US slavery.

Like. The entire point is that they're all pretty damn oppressed. Pearls aren't The Most Oppressed.

Also I'm sorry, but flat-chested and big-nosed are not considered "conventionally attractive."
