I am going to be recovering from my shit show of a move. The moving company forgot they were moving me today. So they did not show up until noon instead of 9:30am. My TV stand broke. I have only eaten a donut today. My day has been shit.

<3 moving is truly the worst of all worsts but at least you can recover now and enjoy the new place!

Nothing other than relaxing tomorrow. Watching the Doctor Who premier with a fan group on Sunday.

Opening night at the symphony! It'll be nice to unwind with a bunch of elderly to live classical. Also, a good excuse to dress to the nines and borrow Mom's diamond jewelry. XD

I had this same thing happen to me on my last move. Take them to task, dude. Demand at least a partial refund, especially if they broke something. If they're resistant, go higher. I can understand being late as long as I'm given some advance warning, but forgetting entirely? Hell no, man. That's not how it's done.

We are going to call tomorrow. We were just too tired and it was not the movers fault but their boss.

Aw, I'm sorry you've had such a shitty day. :( Moving sucks. I hope the weekend is better for you!

I just have to return some library books and run some errands tomorrow. I should tidy up my room, but I'm probably going to be working on my fic instead because I'm at a crucial point and want to get it all down.

I hope your errands don't take too long!

sorry to hear you're having a shitty weekend. I almost feel guilty because mine is going to be awesome as shit, I'm going to the Ren fair tomorrow and another fair Sunday.

Oh, that sucks. Moving is a pain in the ass in general, that stuff certainly doesn't help matters. Hope you get some much needed rest-and some more food as well!

For myself, tomorrow's my birthday, so I might go out to dinner with my family at some point :). Otherwise, since it's going to be all cool and rainy for the most part here, it sounds like a good weekend to just stay in.

I, too, moved recently. I handed over the keys to my old apartment on Sunday. Since I was only moving across the neighborhood, I thought spreading it out over the month-and-a-half overlap between when I signed on my house and the date I agreed to be out of my apartment would be a lot less work than moving all at once and having to live out of boxes for days and days on either end. Well, maybe it was a bit easier, I don't know, but I've still been doing a lot of living out of boxes on the far end!

My weekend plans involve yard work and trying to unpack more boxes and keep chipping away on the enormous mountain of laundry that accumulated. I need to force myself to organize the kitchen stuff into the cabinets - I've been dragging my feet on that and so the kitchen is half box-pile. At least I don't also have to work on cleaning the apartment anymore!

Oof. You have my sympathies.

I'm sorry your move went so badly. Moving is bad at the best of times. I hope you get things arranged the way you want them.

I'm working this weekend. I have a bunch of paperwork to catch up on, but that means I'll stay really busy so I have no complaints.
