Dear Joker fangirls,

Not found an identity to make you interesting yet? Nope? Aw, poor bbs. If the "I want an insane boyfriend, see how edgy I am" shit stops doing it for you, I recommend you give emo another try, and possibly start pretending your dad tried to fuck you.

Or, just stfu and get on with your lives. Maybe if you stop desperately searching for something to make you stand out, other people might get a chance to see that you're an okay person underneath it all. You could even put your energy into finding an original interest or developing positive facets of your personality.

One day, you will probably get over this attention seeking crap and look back and cringe (OH NOEZ, GROWING UP IS BETRAYING MY TEENY-BOPPER SELF). You will be happier and healthier then. You will have fulfilling things in your life, and you won't have to exaggerate things you think are edgy in order to be treated like you have a personality. What will happen is you will develop an actual personality with life experience, and as this kind of irritating shit drops away, people will start being able to appreciate it, instead of just finding you fucking irritating.

Dear lord, my crack was about people pretending to cut. As I explained below, I had no intention of making fun of mental illness (and reading my comment again I still fail to see that I did so). I also recognise that people who feel the need to indulge in such attention seeking behaviours do have something wrong with them and in some cases need to seek help. If you weren't being so automatically defensive, you would note that my main point was that you don't need to try so hard in your life now, you don't need to make these kind of attempts to find your own identity, because your life will improve.

Oh, no, I didn't say it in the nicest way possible. Dear me. Occasionally illusions need to be broken. I did think that people were able to read though, which was perhaps an error on my part. I thought both tone and content would be taken into account.

Also, lol at you telling fans to stop stressing out. Hey, held any more discussions of race that were "just for white chicks" recently?

Or they just have a thing for a fascinating character. Yeah, the influx of "I'd hit that" secrets is kind of annoying, but I find the "You're twisted/masochistic/dumb fangirls for wanting the Joker!" responses infinitely more obnoxious.

They have a crush on a fictional character, like a large percentage of the people on this comm; a completely inappropriate choice in real life, but again, not unique to The Joker. I'm sure your rant applies to some of them, but it's really condescending and unnecessary.

It was a few paragraphs, most of which I thought were pretty nice in my condescending way. Not exactly a super-angry reaction, 5 minutes out of a boring day. Or are you one of those internet people who think that anyone who speaks without padding "my opinion" and "no offence" into everything are horribly mean? It was a genuine opinion expressed and I can do that, and even use a specific type of language that will make it more entertaining to read or help it fit into a certain form of convention, without being incredibly angry at the world.
