If I see another fucking Joker secret I'm going to shoot something. He's not that hot. I know you like to imagine you'd be all hot for him, but even though you would like to think you're that disturbing, you aren't.

People fancy him because a fictional character who lives only to create chaos is appealing. Someone that bad is somehow sexy because he can blow up a hospital and kill hundreds without getting a lick of guilt or shame. Yeah, Heath Ledger is amazing: But do you freaks really think that if you met someone that twisted in real life you'd ~*truly fall for them homg.*~

Agreed on all counts. I'm so sick of these "secrets." Most of my favorite fictional characters are batshit insane and think nothing of killing anyone. But if I ever met someone like that IRL, I'd be scared to death of them.

I have much love for the cracky characters, and hell yeah, they can even be pretty damn sexy in fiction, but as soon as they transcend fandom and fade into reality, things get a little out of hand. Of course, I was a DN fan way before the hype, so maybe my take on it's a bit different. And I admit there's several things about it I don't like...

Likewise, pal. I was sitting behind my friend reading over her shoulder back before people even knew what Death Note was. We were bemoaning L's death back before most had met him yet. I always quite enjoyed Death Note until the fans absolutely ruined it for me.

DN was a good series. Until... L died. And then it kinda flickered out. I still don't think it was worth the merciless humping all the fans did to everything DN. Then again, I've never quite seen the glowing light about mainstream series. --Judo
