Of course, I was a DN fan way before the hype, so maybe my take on it's a bit different. And I admit there's several things about it I don't like...

Likewise, pal. I was sitting behind my friend reading over her shoulder back before people even knew what Death Note was. We were bemoaning L's death back before most had met him yet. I always quite enjoyed Death Note until the fans absolutely ruined it for me.
DN was a good series. Until... L died. And then it kinda flickered out. I still don't think it was worth the merciless humping all the fans did to everything DN. Then again, I've never quite seen the glowing light about mainstream series. --Judo
