IME, when you spend a lot of time on a difficult writing project, it's pretty common to feel frustrated and unsatisfied with it. It's like ayebydan said, it's probably just that you've been immersed in it so long. Some time away and coming back to it might change your mind about how good/bad it is. Personally, that's why I prefer to finish something and then let it sit for a few days or a week - untouched and unread! - and then go back and take another look.
