I'm similar cause I don't like a lot of f/f ships and even though I'm bi, I figured that on some level I was just more biased toward men because of it, but then I saw a few shows where the chemistry was so right I shipped the girls almost immediately and now I think it's just bad writing in most cases, or that the popular female dynamics I normally see make me cringe because they don't come close to reflecting how I feel about the girls I like. When I end up cringing at how a ship is I just can't ship it. Then I came across Nami and Vivi's friendship in One Piece and holy shit give me all of it. It just came out of nowhere and isn't even canon but it hit me right in the feels, finally.
