+1, and even worse is when fans pursue and abuse the crew or actors about canon events. I want drama *in* my canon, not *about* my canon!

Ugh, I hate this trend so much.

I actually prefer to learn a couple of things about the crew/actors for that reason. Not a life story, but just enough to remind me that they are actual human beings with lives separate from the fandom. So none of this "aggressively addressing actor by char name" or "attacking lady villain for being such a horrible bitch" garbage. I don't know why some folks just can't get a grip on reality.
