Hi. I'm a writer. I grew up with TV. It exposed me to more ideas and concepts than not having those. So yes, you are a fuddy duddy. I'm betting a lot of those "made up things" you did were based, in fact, on books and stories you heard! Things you read, saw, experienced, rather than just pulled out of your asses. Because that's how we learn and explore things.
