On one of my fics I had this reviewer who was kind of the opposite? I mean they hated this one canon character and all of their reviews would be finding some way to read her as the bad guy in situations. ("Man she's being bitchy when [other character] is just trying to be a good friend" No.. actually Other character is being passive aggressive as heck. I thought I made that fairly obvious) Even worse this person liked to give suggestions of scenes for my fic which really demonized the character in question and made other characters hate that character. It was really freaking annoying.
Thankfully they quit with that and quit following when I made it clear I wasn't going to bash the character they hated.
Maybe when some real harsh consequences come down on the character they'll get miffed and leave? If not, well....moderating comments sounds good. Or telling them in a reply that you disagree and why?
