This. Livejournal, despite the occasional wank, was much friendlier, too; Tumblr always seems to be full of aggression. Plus posting content on lj got replies, whereas tumblr and even ao3 get very little nowadays.

The truth of this statement depresses me.

On the subject of fandom ... I lurk on Tumblr and still find good ASOIAF metas (the only fandom I'm really into anymore), but I do miss the LJ and forum days. Forums were brilliant.
