I'm still embarrassed over the fact that I had the beginnings of an anxiety attack in front of family friends the other night. I just said I wasn't feeling well, but I know I was being weird. I desperately needed to leave, and when the waiter wasn't coming back I kept rolling my eyes and sighing loudly, and at one point asked if I could go into the bar area and get him. (!!!!) Fortunately one of the friends was also ready to go (in both of our defenses, it was one of those nights that kinda dragged on), and dropped me off.

I know it wasn;t my fault, I just... cannot believe I was so rude. (Don't worry, they know that too, because my next comment was "oh my god I'm so rude I'm so sorry it's nothing personal oh my god I'm so rude.")

I wish I'd felt brave enough to just admit what was happening. :/

Do your anxiety attacks usually manifest that way? I'm just curious because it sounds rather unusual. Sweats, panic and freaking out, I'm familiar with. Rolling eyes and uncontrollable rudeness is a new one on me.

AYRT: I think the rolling my eyes was more feeling it coming on, so wanting to get out of there. If that makes sense.
