I met my husband in a RP and called him creepy on very first day so impossible to be un-nerdy. His job back then was for a prop studio working for Universal, now it is minding workshop in his own college. His job is being a nerd, he has to be on top of nerd things and him and his co-workers are huge arse Jurassic Park and Harry Potter fans. They make dinosaurs at work.

I do get you OP as all the geeky stuff consumes ... a lot of time and a bit hard to suppress it if you kind of merge it with your daily routine. However, the good news is: most people are nerdy about something and your potential partner will have their thing they probably will worry about same as you. We all have our guilty pleasures, cheesy passions and interesting hobbies plus it is fun to share them. It is also cool to have different ones but yep - most respect whatever their partner does or likes even if they do not.
