OK, so then I guess my issue is more to do with what we mean by "supposed" and what constitutes a genuine moral issue. To me, saying that something is a "supposed" moral issue is a way of calling into question the sincerity of the people making the moral argument. And I don't think that those people are insincere, even if they're wrong.

I don't interpret it as questioning their sincerity but questioning the legitimacy of the argument and I think that was how OP meant it too.
